Terms & Disclaimer

Last updated: 28 October 2026

OneTrueFaith is an Orthodox Christian companion app for prayer, Scripture, fasting, saints, and learning. It is a tool for personal study — it does not replace the Church, a priest, confession, a spiritual father, or qualified medical, legal, or mental-health advice. For personal spiritual guidance, please speak with your local priest or spiritual father.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using the OneTrueFaith web app, PWA, or any future iOS or Android app published under the same name (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Purpose of the app

OneTrueFaith provides reverent Eastern Orthodox content — prayers, Scripture, the liturgical calendar, saints, fasting guidance, icons, and teaching. An Orthodox-themed AI study companion is currently switched off. It is intended for personal devotion and learning. It is not a substitute for the Holy Mysteries, parish life, or pastoral counsel.

OneTrueFaith is an independent project. It is not an official publication of, and is not endorsed by, any Orthodox Church, patriarchate, or jurisdiction. Practices described in the app can differ between jurisdictions and parishes.

3. Pastoral & medical disclaimer

  • OneTrueFaith does not replace the Church, a priest, confession, a spiritual father, or pastoral guidance.
  • Nothing in the app constitutes medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
  • If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please contact your priest, a trusted person, or your local emergency services immediately.
  • Prayer rules, fasting rules, and spiritual disciplines should be followed under the guidance of your spiritual father and your jurisdiction.

4. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

5. User content (videos, comments, profile)

You own the videos, comments, profile information, and other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content you grant OneTrueFaith a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and transmit it solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

The Community Guidelines explain these rules in plain words. You agree not to upload, post, or comment any content that:

  • Is blasphemous, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or violent
  • Is disrespectful toward the Orthodox faith, other Christians, or any person on the basis of race, ethnicity, sex, religion, or any other protected characteristic
  • Promotes heresy, occultism, schism, or content contrary to the dogmatic teaching of the Orthodox Church
  • Is spam, scam, advertising, deceptive content, or impersonation
  • Infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or any other right of a third party
  • Contains malware, exploits, or attempts to abuse the Service

We may remove any User Content at our discretion and may restrict, suspend, or remove accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these rules. The video-upload feature is limited to Verified Creators approved by our team.

Reporting. Use Report on any video, comment or profile. If we remove your content or restrict your account, you see the reason under Settings → Account & Privacy, and you can object by replying to us.

Copyright complaints. If content in the app infringes your copyright, choose Report → Copyright infringement, or email contact@onetruefaith.app with: the work you own, where it appears in the app, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. We review it, remove or restrict the content where the complaint is justified, and tell the uploader, who may object.

6. AI Spiritual Companion

The in-app AI bot is an informational study tool. It is not a priest, spiritual father, or confessor and cannot give sacramental absolution, pastoral counsel, or medical/legal advice. Responses are generated by third-party AI providers (see the Privacy Policy) and may be incomplete or mistaken. For anything that touches your spiritual life, consult your priest or spiritual father.

7. Sacred texts & integrity

We strive to present Holy Scripture, prayers, akathists, and liturgical content faithfully and without alteration. You may not paraphrase, edit, or redistribute these texts within the Service in a way that misrepresents them.

8. Availability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OneTrueFaith and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or put other users at risk.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, give prominent notice inside the app. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms: contact@onetruefaith.app.
